Washington, D.C.—Today, Senator Joe Donnelly met with three representatives from the Indiana Skills2Compete Coalition, a bipartisan group of state legislators, education policymakers, and business, labor, and community leaders.  Donnelly and representatives from the coalition discussed their efforts to close Indiana’s skills gap and to provide research and data to promote policies that will help match the skills of Hoosier workers with the needs of employers.

As part of his Opportunity Agenda, Sen. Donnelly has two bills aimed at helping to close the skills gap: the AMERICA Works Act and the Skills Gap Strategy Act.  Learn more about these bills and Donnelly’s other efforts to help create more opportunities for Hoosiers here.
